We provide our clients with prompt, professional and accurate damage appraisal, damage assessment, valuation, documentation, experienced technical insight, and consistent, uniform reporting for all types of heavy and specialty equipment.
Our experienced, centralized staff of heavy and specialty equipment adjusters and appraisers deliver a consistent work product to our insurance company and self-insured clients. We are highly experienced in damage repair estimating as well as the repair process necessary to see the equipment from the beginning of the evaluation through the completion of repairs. When a unit is deemed a total loss we can provide market evaluation, ACV, and salvage disposal services.
Often damages to heavy and specialty equipment may deem a damaged unit as a total loss. We can assure you of accurate calculations of value and salvage. We also handle all aspects of salvage disposal.
The needs of government entities and intergovernmental risk pools differ from those of a standard insurance claim. From a large fleet of vehicles damaged by hail and storms to obscure types of machinery that require experienced damage evaluation, our years of experience dealing with these entities allow us to be more sensitive to their claims handling service needs, tax status and documentation requirements.
All claim handling needs are different. Many may require on-site inspection by an experienced appraiser or adjuster, which we can provide, or, due to time requirements, photos supplied by the owner or shop provide the best solution for the task at hand. We can work with the owner or shop to provide the photos necessary for an accurate, professional evaluation.
Because our appraisal staff is centrally managed, our work product is consistent, unlike franchised estimating companies of which no two appraisal reports are the same because all these appraisers do the work “their way”. Differing work products lead to confusion and lack of efficiency. Our report formats will always follow the same, consistent rules of reporting, enabling a client’s handling adjuster to gain the information needed in a familiar way, time and time again.
Oftentimes, a handling adjuster may have been provided by an owner or shop all of the materials required to make an accurate evaluation, but that adjuster may lack the technical knowledge associated with the repair required. We can accurately evaluate these materials to ensure they are in line with carrier estimating guidelines as well as local market standards and practices involving the repair of the equipment in question. We can put these findings into a standard reporting format utilizing whatever guidelines the client requires.
Occasionally an insurance carrier and an insured do not agree to terms in regards to the value of a piece of equipment deemed a total loss, or the repair costs involved to put a machine back to pre-accident condition. We are experienced at representing insurance carriers in this process of “Appraisal”. We will attempt to negotiate reasonable terms with the insured’s appraisal representative, or we can move the process to the umpire stage, where the value will be worked out in accordance with appraisal process guidelines. We also can handle all of the duties of Umpire in the appraisal process, reaching an unbiased decision based on the facts provided by the two parties involved.
